CoinDesk news on June 10, Libra Association Vice Chairman Dante Disparte said in an interview that Libra triggered a “space race” in the field of digital currency, especially in the central bank digital currency. Disparte said that 70% of central banks in the world today are exploring central bank digital currencies. Libra hopes that these central bank digital currencies can be directly integrated with the Libra network after launch, without the need for the Libra network to manage related reserves, thereby reducing credit and custody risks. Libra also hopes to provide the central bank with an application to conduct cross-chain transactions between the central bank and digital currencies and enhance operability.
